Welcome To Mrs. Volk's 3rd Grade Class Wiki! 
 
Our class is currently working on an economics unit learning about producers and consumers. We are also learning about and analyzing different types of advertisements that companies use in order to sell their products. The students are in &quot;Company Groups&quot; for this unit. The object is for the students to create an imaginary company that sells some type of surf-wear. Within their groups, students need to collaborate to create a company name and description, company logo, a product name, design and description, and an advertisement. Each company has its own page on this site where they are to post their work. 
 
Each company is also working on adding a podcast commercial to its page. Click on the podcast link to hear each company's &quot;radio commercial&quot;. We have been learning about four types of advertisements; friendly faces, super-star endorsement, bandwagon, and before &amp; after. The commercial needs to follow one of these types of advertising patterns.
